The very popular “go2future” fair took place again from April 11-12, 2025. The apprenticeship fair is an important event that offers young people the opportunity to find out about various apprenticeships and get to know potential employers. Our inviting and informative tables were therefor very busy. Pupils, parents and interested young people came to find out about the exciting profession of “laboratory technician EFZ (color & paint)”.

Apprentices in these fields not only learn the theoretical basics, but also practical skills that are essential for the production and application of non-stick coatings. Our newly qualified apprentice trainer Lisa Karschunke and her young team therefore had a lot to do with explaining and demonstrating.

The practical aspects could be practiced immediately in a small “color challenge”. The big question: who of the many visitors could match the predefined color tone as accurately as possible? The different colors were mixed together with precision and flair until everyone was satisfied with themselves and the result. Out of the many participants, 3 young people mixed the color perfectly or almost identically. The best prerequisites for starting an apprenticeship at ILAG: ;-)

To sum up, the apprenticeship fair was a complete success again this year, but it is also a valuable platform for young peiple to find out about different professions. The opportunity to speak directly with experts and gain initial practical experience can be crucial for career orientation.
